Hi

Some people are great teachers. That is their gift and they can teach you the basics of what you need to know without being in the business of doing that thing themselves.

There’s value in that if you are just starting out.

But once you know the basics, be sure to look for a teacher who is in the trenches and walks the talk every day.

That way you’ll get the nuances and the advanced path, a way to go beyond what others in your niche are doing.

Look for examples of the teacher doing the thing they are teaching.

If they teach web design, do you like their designs?

If they teach email marketing, sign up for their list and see what they do.

Does their way suit you, your style, and how you like to do business?

If it doesn’t, it may still be worth doing that course to take your knowledge one step further (one tip can be worth thousands!) but only if you have time and money to spare.

Otherwise, keep looking.

And if possible, look for a course where you have access to the teacher so that you can ask the questions that are sure to come up.

Now that we have AI spouting out course outlines and even full courses, you need to be extra vigilant with your course dollars. Especially as AI doesn’t always give the right answers! 💖

ONE OF MY FAVE TOOLS! THRIVECART 

I hesitated for ages before I bought Thrivecart.

It’s a big chunk of change and another thing to learn to use.

But that hugely powerful program is not as tricky as I expected.

Compared to Amember which I use for my printables shop, it’s a breeze, and there are very clear step by step instructions in their help section.

FUN! MONSTER CHORE CHARTS – TAILOR THEM FOR ANY NICHE!

Our latest product is a Fun Monster Chore Chart spreadsheet with PLR commercial rights.

Parents are always looking at ways to make chores more interesting for their kids and these charts are perfect for that.

Customers just have to enter a name and their chores on the daily and/or weekly chore charts to start.

Then when they check off a chore, one of twelve cute and colorful monsters pops up with a “well done” message.
