It’s all very well having lofty life-changing goals, but trying to close a huge gap in your habits between where you are and where you want to be is not so easy.
Not for humans anyway.

More often than not, we give the whole thing up as hopeless before we really get going and go back to our usual routines.
Beating ourselves up, even though it just means we’re using normal comfort-zone seeking behavior.
Instead of trying to take a giant leap and making a huge change, just start wherever you are with one tiny thing that takes you in the right direction.
Do it once. Today.
Then do it again. Tomorrow.
Repeat until it’s so much part of your routine you don’t even have to think about it.
Then do a little bit more.
It may seem slow. It actually IS slow, but it’s more effective than any so-called fast method.
Plus, all those tiny incremental changes bring you benefit after benefit, increasing your motivation instead of making you feel defeated.
