How Does the Reading Planner & Tracker Spreadsheet work?
The spreadsheet uses the free Google Sheets app that people can access on any device.
Customers enter details of their books to set up the basic data. There is space for 500 books which can be extended by sellers using the instructions included.
Extensive lists of reading genres and subgenres are pre-populated but these can be tailored by users if they wish.
Readers mark their progress for different formats on the reading logs and see the status of the books they are reading or listening to.
Once a book has been read, they can add a rating for a number of different criteria (which can be easily tailored by the user) and the system will calculate their overall rating.
There’s an overview screen which shows a summary of the data overall or by year and month. The spreadsheet can be used over many years. It’s currently set up for all the years up to 2030 and instructions for extending beyond that are included.
Customers can use the dedicated sheets to add their personal favorites and favorite quotes.
A reading challenge sheet with over 50 challenges has also been included. Customers can edit this if they wish.

You can change anything you wish about the spreadsheet before you sell it including the text, calculations, and design. You can also add additional pages if you wish and package it up in a different format. Or customize it for a specific niche or audience. Customers can also tailor it to suit their own needs (on top of adding their basic data) including genre, subgenre, and which favorite elements they wish to track.
Do customers need to have experience with spreadsheets to use this product?
