When you’re trying to get everything done as fast as you possibly can, it really helps  if you have the right tools for the job.

Tools can be the equivalent of having an extra pair of hands – a VA you don’t have to budget for.

So if you’re wincing at the cost of the tool you’re eyeing up, do your sums on the cost of paying someone to do the task not just the time it will save. 💖

And if a tool doesn’t have an ROI for your business in time or money, walk right on by!

Examples of tools that I wouldn’t be without are Canva Pro for making quick promo graphics and freebies, Publisher Rocket for doing keyword research for KDP books, and Divi for creating web pages. These tools save me a whole lot of time and each has an important role to play in my business.

Your set will be different, but always be on the lookout for how to automate to reduce your workload.

For example, if you constantly put off creating web pages, sales pages, blog posts and newsletters because you hate writing, get a tool that takes the hard work out of it, like Jasper, a very clever AI writing tool.

And use the heck out of it.

Because not writing is holding you back.

For sure.

Some tools are free and are there for the taking, but a tool like Jasper is an investment that costs you around $29 a month to write 20,000 words.

It might seem like a stretch if you’re on a budget.

But if you compare that with employing a writer with a perfect command of colloquial English, there’s no comparison in terms of cost.

20,000 words will not come cheap

The alternative is to spend days and days writing those words yourself (or months if you struggle a lot with writing.)

Of course, tools will only save you time and money if you use them.

I must confess, I’ve bought many tools that I haven’t used (yet!) that would really help if I got around to using them.

If you tend to buy and not use a tool (or find out about free tools and then not do anything with them), make a point of scheduling in the time to use a tool as soon as you purchase or find it.

I’m trying to do that now to avoid any new purchases gathering dust. But some still slip through the net.

Don’t be me.  Maximize the value and make good your investment from anything you buy! 💖

I’m feeling very time challenged right now. I have everything in Trello but there are still too many tasks to do in too little time!

Partly because I keep taking days off (imagine!) and partly because I’m trying to squeeze everything in before I go away on Saturday.
