Busy week this week so I’m having to follow my own advice about saving time, focusing, and getting through the work. 🤣

My tip today is about deadlines.
Always give yourself a drop dead date when you have to have something done by.
Commit to it.
In public.
Tell everyone.
And then do it.
Otherwise it’s too easy to put a difficult task off until another day.
I have things I need to do this week, my own self-imposed deadlines, before I go off on my trip to France at the weekend.
So every moment will count. Saturday is too late. I’ll be on the plane.
Will I get everything done?
Probably not #becauselife
But I’ll get an awful lot more done than if I didn’t have any deadlines at all and just drifted.
Does that only work if you’re going on holiday?
Nope. I’m always working against the clock, for one reason or another.
Sometimes because I promised friends I’d have something done by x date for a joint project.
Sometimes because my VA expects me to provide something so she can go on and do her job.
Sometimes because I have promised things to affiliates or customers.
There are all kinds of ways of making yourself accountable.
Use as many as you have access to.
And if you are not accountable to anyone, just let me know what you want to commit to by the end of next week (when I’m back from my break) and I’ll hold you to account! 💖
