Kids don’t mind trying stuff out until they master it.
They’ll spend forever shooting hoops or riding their skateboard, despite bumps and bruises.
But once we reach adulthood, somehow we decide that we need to be good at something before we do it.
Especially in public.
As if we can learn how to create a great Youtube video, design, or sales letter by reading about it or taking a course or five!
Don’t get me wrong, courses are great to reduce the time it takes to master a skill.
But you can’t learn to swim without water.
And you have to be willing to do the thing badly over and over until you get the hang of it.
It’s only once you do that and stick your neck out 20 or 30 times that you get as good as you want to be.
If you want to create professional-looking graphics, I have a couple of courses (One Hour Graphics and One Hour Fonts) that will condense the time it takes to learn, but you still have to do the work of applying those skills to your designs until you don’t have to think about it any more.
