Quick one today to avoid adding to the overwhelm 😍 (Tip on that below.)
Last Day of Spring
Not the unseasonable snow everyone seems to be “enjoying” State-side or the bright, crisp air straight from the North Pole here in Edinburgh. (Beautiful up on the hilltop today overlooking the city but brrrrh!)
No, it’s not the end of spring yet, but it IS the last day to grab the Spring Cleaning Checklists for $7 with coupon SPRING20.
Take a look here for all the details.
There’s also an optional extension with 32 more pages to create a bigger planner for just $10 – see the checklist download page.
If you got the checklists already and regret not getting the extra planner pages, you still have a chance to get the extension here for $10 with coupon code HAPPYSPRING – but it’s the last day for that special launch price, too.
If You’re New & Overwhelmed…
It’s okay, you’re normal.
I don’t think there’s a single new business owner (or would-be owner) who isn’t.
But I heard this today on a call and it struck a chord with me.
“If you don’t know what to do, do the thing that takes you closer to getting a sale.”
So what does that mean?
Well, it isn’t reading your email. Ever. That’s my excuse for having over 6000 of them in my inbox 😱
It isn’t scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook. That never resulted in a sale for anyone (but plenty of purchases!)
If you have a product and nowhere to sell it, your most important task isn’t making another one. Put the product you have up for sale first! And then promote it.
If you don’t have a product, grab some PLR, make it yours, and sell that.
And sorry, but the thing you should be doing isn’t usually training, either.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a great believer in training. Knowledge is a great thing. But if you’re training and not doing, you’re just setting yourself up to get overwhelmed.
It just means you now know all the things you should be doing but you’re not. (Ask me how I know this one all too well. LOL)
If you’re learning and doing, step by step, that’s fine (and you’re probably not overwhelmed!)
But implementation has to go hand in hand with training or you may as well not take a single course. (I’m telling myself this as I look at the list of courses I bought and haven’t opened yet.)
What three things can you do tomorrow that will take you closer to getting a sale?
Put them on your to do list and check them off one by one.
Enjoy the rest of the week, get selling, and I’ll catch you soon with more tips, freebies, and some offers (but only the ones I personally think are great value and know the quality to be good.)
P.S.If you’re really stuck, join me on Val Selby’s two week Get Biz Done Challenge which is all about taking action and really moving your business forward. It starts April 30th with a call to decide on your two week focus. Sign up now, though, because the GBDHAPPY coupon code for 50% off runs out on the 23rd 😍
