If you keep setting goals and milestones then let them fall by the wayside, try something new.
Look backward.
This means deciding what you’re going to do based on what just happened rather than what you want to happen at some time in the future.
So you look at what you didn’t like about what you did the previous day or week, and do something to improve that thing.
Aim to go just one step better. For example, if you worked out on only one of the five days you intended, aim for at least two days in the coming week.
If you wrote only five hundred words of your novel yesterday though you plan to get 5,000 words a day done, aim for a thousand.
It may feel counterintuitive to aim for less than you want, but you are building up from reality then and not aiming toward something you don’t know if you can achieve.
Keep improving like that, even 1% a day or week and you’ll soon be consistently achieving your goals. 💖
