I read an interesting take on goals today from Eve Arnold.
She says, “Make your goals small enough that you get in the habit of achieving them.”
And that’s the opposite of the usual advice you get about shooting for the stars so that you reach the moon.
But I like Eve’s idea because hitting a target (no matter how small) gives you momentum to continue and the confidence in yourself to do more.
It’s amazing what you can achieve by consistently hitting small goals day after day.
When you’re just getting started, a goal of earning a dollar over and over may get you further than shooting for a 10k a month target.
