There’s no shortage of things online to get distracted by.

I caught myself looking at suitcases in three different online stores this afternoon. I’m not even sure we need new luggage for our next trip.  😱

And that wasn’t my first distraction today (by a long shot.)

For some reason, I’ve been resisting writing my newsletter today (up until now) or working on the course I’m creating (which I haven’t touched for days!)

So if you’re feeling resistance to the work you want to get done, know that you’re not alone in that.

Sometimes the motivational tricks I normally use work their magic on me; sometimes they don’t.

Just being honest.

What got me going this time?

A deadline!

They do usually work for me.  Even the ones in my own head about getting a newsletter done, or having my course done this side of Christmas 🤣

And if I don’t send my newsletter out, then I would miss giving you the heads up about the amazing deals coming to an end today.

I had to give myself a talking to earlier (the dog was amused) and then I got to work.

What did I say?

It was what I call an “instead talk” (as opposed to a TED talk LOL)  It goes something like this:
