Even when you love what you do, creative work of any kind takes a lot of brain energy.
And that includes everything you need to build or write for your business.
So don’t try to slog your way through the day doing as much as you can without stopping.
These days I’ve noticed even five minute pomodoro breaks are not long enough for me.
I like at least 15 minutes to chill out with less intense tasks that don’t take so much thinking.
So I work long days but I save email processing, paperwork filing, dish washing, cooking, and laundry for the gaps.
If you’re finding your days a bit gruelling, experiment with the balance between mindful and mindless work to see how you get the most done during your working hours.
Because we are all different.
And if you find yourself only doing the email processing type tasks, experiment with getting the real work done first! 💖
