One thing I’ve noticed since using AI is how easy it is to be impressed by the sheer speed of the thing.
When it produces a page of text in seconds, makes a logo appear almost instantly or you get the piece of code you requested before you’ve even finished your cup of tea, you can’t help but think how amazing that is and how long it would have taken you to do it yourself.
But amazing speed and great quality aren’t the same thing.
Sometimes we’re so impressed by how quickly something was created that we forget to ask whether it’s any good.
I’ve caught myself doing it so often and now I try to step back and review whatever AI gives me really carefully.
The faster AI becomes, the more important judgement becomes.
Don’t let speed deceive you into lowering your standards.
Just let it free up more time to improve the final result. 💖
