When you’re setting goals, you’re often told to make them realistic. (That’s the R in SMART goals.)
But there’s not much fun to be had in realistic.
Realistic means plodding along, checking things off your goal list.
Realistic means you never need to be disappointed.
Usually, it also means you don’t get the joy of overachieving.
So, why not set big goals that are just about possible if everything goes right?
And then shoot for them as best you can.
Sometimes, you’ll be disappointed.
That’s okay.
Disappointment is part of the roller coaster ride of being in business. (Also, of being alive but I digress!)
If you aim high, and don’t stop just because you’re disappointed now and again, you’ll notice the things that work more than make up for the ones that don’t! 💖
