As I was grumblFing to myself today, I came across this quote from James Clear, and it gave me a lot to think about.
“The recipe for frustration is taking on something that requires a whole person, but only giving it half your time.”
It’s a pity but most of us don’t have the luxury of giving one project our complete attention.
We’re running businesses, looking after families, keeping the house going and trying to fit everything into the same twenty-four hours.
Maybe the answer to ease our frustration isn’t to expect full-time results from part-time effort.
Maybe we should just choose projects that match the time we have available, and be a little kinder to ourselves while we make steady progress.
Slow progress is still progress. 💖
