Hi

Some people think that success comes from luck; others that it comes from hard work (or a bit of both!)

And I agree to some extent with the “hard work with a bit of luck thrown in” idea.

But you do need motivation to do the work in the first place.

And you need it to put yourself out there where lady luck can give you a helping hand.

The problem is that motivation to do difficult things doesn’t spring from the air, though many wait around expecting it to.

That kind of motivation isn’t part of your DNA either.

You’re not born with motivation or without it.

It’s a choice.

No one feels like doing the hard thing especially if there’s no immediate or certain reward.

But when you’re faced with a difficult action, you can simply choose to be motivated to do it.

You have to make yourself get going and once you start, more often than not, you’ll “feel like” continuing.

Motivation comes from action not the other way around.

The first step is the hardest.
