I must confess, I love planning for my business.

It is so much easier to plan and dream about the outcome than it is to do the thing. 🤣

And I always thought everything would go much more smoothly if I had the perfect plan and the perfect strategy.

Until I realized neither of those things exist.

As an ex-project manager, I should have seen that sooner.

Plans for software projects get reviewed and if necessary redrawn every week to fit the new reality.

And the only perfect plan for your business is the plan that gets done.

And then reviewed.

To make it better next time.

So putting off starting while you find the perfect strategy and create the perfect plan for it doesn’t make sense.

You’ll never know what the perfect plan is without trying it out.

And the perfect strategy changes weekly online so you’ll always be behind the curve if you wait.

Also there’s that one little problem with planning.

It makes no money at all.

Only doing can lead to that.

If you find yourself procrasti-planning, give yourself no more than a day to draw up a plan and then get right into implementing.

You’ll get much further faster like that. 💖
