I’ve been having fun with surface pattern design lately.
If you don’t know, that’s the kind of design that goes on fabric and wallpaper.
But because these designs are 300 dpi (print quality) they also work as backgrounds for digital journals and print covers.
So, I decided to share some 12″ x 12″ designs with you so you can enjoy them too. You can use them in personal or commercial projects, but please play nice and don’t sell or distribute the actual files!

I’ve been using expensive apps to make my designs so far, but today I was blown away when I tested the first 10 or so videos from Marian’s latest training (there are something like 28 videos in all)
In her Paper Mache training, Marian uses Powerpoint to create simple, but very attractive, patterns that you can use in all your commercial projects.
I love that her videos are short and sweet and very clear – yet every one of them sparks a thousand ideas or has a tip that cuts your workload by a hundred.
