Hi
There’s some truth in the saying “jack of all trades and master of none” but it’s difficult to focus on just a few things without trying out many.
So don’t worry if you can’t seem to focus a first.
it’s a good thing to experiment in the early days before you decide what you’d love to get good at.
But once you’ve decided on an area or two where you’d like to get super skilled, stop trying to master every other skill out there.
Because if you do that you’ll never get good at anything.
This doesn’t mean you should run away completely from new things.
Stay nimble!
If your skill suddenly becomes less valuable (for example if something like AI comes along) you might need to pick up a new specialty.
But you can usually adapt the skills you have to take advantage of new technology and trends.
Just be careful about limiting yourself to mastery of a single tool because tools definitely come and go. Don’t become a YouTube specialist to the exclusion of all else, for example, become a master of video marketing strategy instead and become proficient in at least a couple of relevant tools. 💖
