Hi
Some tasks seem to need a whole free afternoon before you can begin them. Unfortunately, whole free afternoons have a habit of not turning up when requested. 🤣
Start anyway.
Try choosing a number of minutes that feels easy to say yes to. It might be five, ten, or twenty. Set a timer and work on the thing you’ve been putting off until it rings.
Your goal is just to work on your one thing for that number of minutes. Don't worry about achieving a particular output. When the timer goes off, keep going if you’ve found your stride, or stop if that’s enough for today. The minutes still count.
Try a few different numbers over the next week. You’re looking for the one that helps you begin without feeling like a trick you’ll regret agreeing to. That’s your x-minute easy level. 💖
Bonus AI tip: Tell AI about a task you keep postponing and how much time you’re willing to give it. Ask: “What could I do in that time that would leave the task easier to return to?” That way, even if you stop when the timer rings, you’ve made the next start easier. 🤔

THIS WEEK'S LIMITED-TIME BONUS! MICROPRODUCT IDEA GENERATOR
This week’s bonus is a little different! Instead of my usual report, I’ve created an AI tool you can put straight to work, with a short guide and four worked examples. Microproduct Idea Generator helps you find your next “I’d love to make that” idea.
If you’ve asked AI for product ideas and received the usual planners, checklists, and workbooks, you’ll know how uninspiring that can feel. This tool digs into specific frustrations, little pleasures, and overlooked details of your audience’s life to uncover more interesting possibilities. Give it an audience, add any preferences, such as printables only or no video, and explore 18 small product ideas. Then follow whichever catches your eye, right through to getting help creating it.
It’s portable, too. Use the instructions in your preferred AI chat tool. Attach the instruction file if it supports uploads, or copy and paste the text. There’s nothing to install.
HOW TO GET IT The tool and guide are FREE this week only as an alternative to a bonus from the bonus page when you use my affiliate link to buy any offer marked as qualifying from now until the end of day Monday 26th October. Eligibility varies by offer, so please check the label. (To claim just send your invoice/purchase details to [email protected] giving your choice of bonus)
The offers below contain affiliate links or ads for products I recommend. The opinions expressed are my own. I will receive a small commission if you buy through my affiliate links, but the product will not cost you more.

Your Year in Focus is a done-for-you white label workshop by Content Sparks helping small businesses to decide what gets attention over the next 12 months. The problem is that everything looks important but none of us can work on everything we want to at once. You can use the training when planning your own year ahead and teach the whole process to your customers just as they are deciding what to focus on at the end of the year. Students learn to look back at what’s been happening in their business, describe what they want from each possible focus area, test each one against the commitments already in their year, and mark it First, Next, or Not Now and then keep every decision in front of them on a Priority Compass, with a date to check in. The Student Workbook stands on its own, so they can complete it in two to three hours, with or without you. But you also receive everything you need to teach it live or to record videos. Includes sales and promo materials. Just $67 (62% off) during launch until October 27th (Tuesday at midnight Pacific) Qualifies for this week’s bonus
