In two ways.
In the hope of saving you some disappointment and cold hard cash.
The first is people selling you secrets, and by that I don’t mean “the secret to doing X or Y” when it’s just their way of teaching you their method of doing X or Y.
That’s fine.
That’s just copywriting.
What I mean is the kind of sales page where you don’t know what you’re really buying. They show you a fancy car and house and talk about the Internet dream but they don’t show you how you’ll get there by buying their thingumajig.
If it was worth the money, they would tell you exactly what it did.
The second red flag for me is the push button idea.
Push button software.
As you might guess, the latest brand of this involves AI. You push a button on their AI software (usually an interface to Chatgpt) and all the work you need to do comes out!
Create a site every five minutes or a book!
But nothing is that easy. You always have to do the work.
In particular, no piece of software will do the thinking for you. You have to use your brain no matter what a piece of software does.
Apply your brain to how you use it.
And then apply it again to the results.
And speaking from someone who took fifteen years to learn the hard way, apply your brain before you buy whatever it is and do your research before you waste your money! 💖
