You’ll often hear that you need to be consistent if you want to succeed in business.

There’s a grain of truth there, but it’s not the whole picture.

Many unsuccessful entrepreneurs are consistent in their efforts.

They learn to do a thing. Then they do it over and over again.

Consistently.

But it’s too easy to get comfortable doing that.

The problem is that the world doesn’t behave in a consistent way.

The only thing we are pretty much guaranteed is change.

If you consistently do the same thing, the online world will move on and leave you behind.

And you’ll be left wondering what happened as you pick up the pieces.

Instead, work diligently on your goal, being consistent in your actions, but only as long as they continue to be the right ones.

Keep your eyes open for shifts in the landscape.

And be ready to try new things when the wind changes direction.
