Hi

There’s always something.

Something that gets in the way of us doing that thing we’ve wanted to do for a while.

But usually it’s not something that stops us outright.

Not like a broken arm and learning to knit.

It’s more like not having a big chunk of time to work because we have guests or kids or fur babies to deal with, or it’s too hot to work, or <insert any number of reasons that you tell yourself.>

The thing is, even if we can’t get as much done as we’d like, we can do something.

Work doesn’t have to be done in a day or a week. It may be done in ten minute chunks here or there.

And if that’s all you have, it’s better than nothing.

Work may not get our full focus because we’re anxious or preoccupied.

But if all you have is a mind that’s distracted, it’s better than not putting your mind to work at all.

And you may find your focus once you start.

Whatever excuse you have, try saying to yourself, “I can’t do as much on x as I’d like today, but I can at least do y,” and do that.

Your project and business will thank you for it.

And you’ll feel better too.  💖
