Apparently this is National Love Your Pet Day (who makes these day things up? I might start declaring my own Scottish variety, like national tossing the caber day, national wear a kilt day, and national Loch Ness monster spotting day LOL)
Anyway, I thought National Love Your Pet Day was a good time for a couple of pieces of Alfie advice.
The first piece of advice is don’t buy a white chair if you have a dog in your future (not that we knew we would get a dog when we bought that chair. It just covered an ugly part of the floorboards where a pipe in the foundations sprang a leak and wrecked the floor 🤣)
The second piece of advice is one I’ve talked about before but it bears repeating. I call it “Be More Alfie.”
You see, Alfie is outside digging every day in the back yard (or garden as we say in these parts.)
We tell him to stop. He stops for 5 minutes, then he digs again.
We bring him in. His digging is thwarted.
Until he gets to go outside again.
Then he’s back.
Digging.
If the weather was better, we might have employed him to excavate a swimming pool LOL
But no, instead we have these ugly holes in our lawn.
Just as well we love the little mutt. 🤣
Anyway my point is (yes, there is one!) in business, you need to as determined as Alfie.
You’ll get thwarted. Of course you will.
That sucks.
Not everything will work.
You’ll get a bad review.
People will unsubscribe or not buy your beautiful creations.
Your software will blow up.
Or your hard drive crashes.
Whatever happens. Don’t stop.
Regroup. Then get digging again.
And you’ll eventually succeed.
Just like my four-legged excavator pal. 💖
