I read this quote from Brendon Burchard today and it really landed with me as I think about the changes I want to make this year, so I’m sharing it with you in case you have changes in mind too:
“Two things change your life:
Something new comes into your life — a new person, a new opportunity, new knowledge, a new crisis.
Or something new comes from within — resolve, conviction, assertiveness, inner fire.”
We often wait for the first kind of change, the external shift that arrives and alters everything for us. And sometimes that does happen.
But 2026 doesn’t need to arrive with dramatic events or perfect circumstances to be meaningful.
The changes that tend to matter most, and last the longest, usually begin with the second kind. A decision you make. A stronger sense of resolve. A willingness to back yourself a little more than you did before.
These kinds of changes are in your power to make today. They are lines you draw that say, this year I’m showing up differently.
And then you act on them one ordinary day at a time.
