Sometimes, I catch myself using some kind of twisted logic to put things off.
For example, we’re going to have some building work done in the house in Q4.
So I’m saying to myself that there’s no point restarting my daily yoga habit because I’ll never be able to keep it going with all the disturbance from the builders.
And there will definitely be some noise, mess and chaos for a few months, but I could probably just shift the time or place I practise yoga for that period!
We can find ourselves doing the same thing in business, for example, putting things off waiting for the kids to go back to school or Christmas to be over or even just saying to ourselves that we’ve got a lot on this week, so may as well start on Monday.
The trouble is that there will always something making conditions less than optimum, so we never get started.
If you want to achieve something worthwhile, go all in and prioritize it, no matter what.
Do as much as you can.
Do it as well as you can.
Despite what’s going on.
Today.
That way your actions (no matter how small) will compound day after day and you’ll get where you want to be so much faster!
