When you’re doing well in business, people tend to only see the successes.

The failures get hidden under the rug.

But everyone has them.

I didn’t just have one failure in 2021; I had a few.

They were just camouflaged by a whole lot of successful product launches in my Simple Happiness Biz shop.

I’ve talked about my worst failure a few times but not in my newsletter.

The thing is, I also have an Etsy shop with 12 products which made a total of 8 sales.

That’s 8 sales all year! The shop on my site makes more than that on average in a day. 😱

And I spent a fortune on Etsy courses and products to help.

But didn’t make it work.

Is there something wrong with Etsy as a business model?

Absolutely not! The blame is all mine.

You see, I bought the courses but never got around to putting them into action.

That’s like joining the gym and never going. (Something I’ve also been known to do.)

The thing that got all my focus – my PLR store – got all the success.

My poor neglected Etsy store got nothing.

So the results are just like you’d expect.

Will I get around to Etsy at some point?

Yes! I won’t let it beat me, but I did find out I don’t like the process of loading products up there so I will have to get help with that.

Probably not this year because my focus is still not on Etsy and I don’t want to take my eyes off what I’m already doing.

But sometime, I’ll crack it and let you know when I do. 😊

Meanwhile, don’t be afraid to fail in one thing to give another thing more of your time and attention.

Focus is, and always will be, the key to success.
