I had an unusual day (at least for me these days) yesterday because I went to a business meeting in Edinburgh with real people.

It meant getting dressed and everything LOL

And braving the wintery weather we’ve had lately .

Anyway, I talked with a group of ten women, all seriously intent on building their businesses in different fields.

There was a lady selecting and selling designer tea, one making beautiful jewellery from tumbled stones she’d gathered from local beaches, a branding strategist, a nutritionist, and a Squarespace site designer for example. And the group (called “Hug the Cactus”) was run by a photographer who was taking a lot of pictures of the event for us to use later on our sites.

Did I come away with a world-beating idea?

No. That would be a  big ask 🤣

But all the best ideas need fodder and time to marinate in your brain before they comes out days or weeks later.

Make sure you’re not sticking to your comfort zone too much, hug a cactus, and feed your brain some new material on a regular basis whether that’s new TV shows, or books, or sites, or friends, and yes, even newsletters!   💖
