Do you get that feeling sometimes when there’s so much to do you can’t even think where to start?

I just caught myself staring at the PC screen, not doing a thing a.k.a. major overwhelm mode 😱

One self-administered pep talk and here I am, writing to you.

But that doesn’t always work.

How things have changed 

The past year has seen me making more friends than ever online, and that has been fantastic for good times, mutual support and accountability.

I’ve also started paying for coaching.

Both are game changers in different ways.

The coaches I have are not pushy like sports coaches, yelling at you to run faster. They are more like guides, giving a nudge in the right direction, questioning, and encouraging.

But the fact that they are there, following what I’m up to, makes me want to make visible progress before they next ask me how I’m doing.

I’m not sure how that works. I keep thinking I should be able to do that for myself as I qualified as a coach years ago. But I’ve been trying the DIY approach for ten years, and I’ll never go back to not paying for coaching.

The fact is, you can’t coach yourself. The people who coach me also have coaches 😊
