Newsletter 11th April 2021: 💕How do I make buying decisions?

by | Newsletters

Hi

What Should You Buy (or Not)?

If you know you’re not going to be able to resist a good deal (and I’m right there with you), at least be selective about the ones you pick up.

These days, I always ask myself whether I’ll be able to use the deal right now or very soon. And I usually buy the kind of training that will significantly move the needle on my business forward.

In the past, I invested a small fortune in training that didn’t help much. But when I bought courses on things I needed to know right at the moment of purchase, I always got huge value from them. For example, courses on

  • Starting and promoting an Etsy store.
  • Graphic design
  • Creating and Promoting books on Amazon KDP
  • Designing a website
  • Employing a VA
  • Setting up Amember

I still have a lot to learn, so I’ll never stop buying training. Although I’ll admit I still make some purchases because of bright shiny object syndrome, I don’t do that as much as I used to.

By now, I purchase pretty much what I need to learn and I have my favorite go to teachers.

D’vorah is right up there among the best. She’s an educator through and through, and I always learn so much from the many courses I have of hers.

Dvorah’s Etsy store training was particularly helpful because it was clear she understood the low content market. Many Etsy courses are focused on selling crafts. She also had advice about how to quickly get going which was genius. (I’d been putting off getting my store going for the longest time by making it harder than it needed to be.)

I also have many of D’vorah’s books for authors from the days when I was writing full-time. Grab her Kindle Creation Challenge if you don’t have it, as she’ll teach you all you need to know to get your book published, too.

It’s a great time to buy because D’vorah is celebrating a couple of publishing milestones by offering 25% off her whole store. Use COUPON CODE CELEBRATE25 through April 16th to make huge savings. Try out a course or two in an area that will help move your business forward if you have yet to experience the D’vorah magic.

Flash Bonus:If you buy any of Dvorah’s courses through my links in this newsletter, I’ll also send you the special bonus I’m creating for Ecommerce Copywriting Essentials (see below) Send me your receipt.

What else have I been buying up?

I’ve been buying anything where I know that making a few sales on Etsy or Amazon KDP (with my own changes and additions) will immediately cover the cost of the purchase.

For example, it’s not that hard to see where you can make a ton of products from something like Alice’s Success Mindset offer and get them up for sale. It’s just a case of doing the work to get the products in your shop and launch them.

Success mindset

For some time, I’ve been stashing PLR rather than using it because I was building other parts of my business, but now it’s time to start putting the items I’ve accumulated to work.

Doing that will mean having lots of assets out there, ready to bear fruit. The more (great) products you have for sale and promote, the more sales you get. Funny that!

It’s the way business works (or doesn’t.)

  • If you have no store, you sell nothing.
  • If your store shelves are empty (or nearly,) you sell nothing.
  • If you don’t do the work to create great products from the things you buy, your store has nothing of interest to buyers. And guess what? You sell nothing!
  • You don’t promote your great products, so you get no eyes on your wonderful creations, and you sell nothing!

You can’t miss a single step out, but you can make things much easier for yourself by buying PLR products. It’s great to have something ready made. And, in some cases, you can even use the product just as it stands and make a killing.

I like to make additions and changes, but in some ways, that’s crazy. Because my wanting to make changes delays me putting an already great product up for sale and promoting it.

I do like designing all the things, though 😍

In any case, you can be sure I’m picking up Alice’s superb Success Mindset offer before the deal ends on Tuesday. All this content plus a bonus goals journal for just $14.95. It’s a steal!

My Bonus For Alice’s Mindset Deal:  Pick this up through my link in this email and you’ll also get my bonus – a set of three Canva covers and background templates to make your product stand out from the herd. The templates will be customizable so you can brand them (if you wish) with your own unique font and color combination. You’ll find access to the templates in the bonus area of your account on Alice’s site by Wednesday so do look out for them if you purchase.

What Else Do You Need to Sell Your Products?

Apart from a great product and graphics, you need sales copy for the description in your store – the kind that compels people to buy once they are attracted by your product image.

If you struggle with finding the right words, Sharyn has the perfect product to help right now: Ecommerce Copywriting Essentials. The quality of Sharyn’s products is so good that I buy them for my own training, but they come with commercial rights, so you can also create a training course to sell to others later on. Can you say win-win?

Get $80 (over 50%) off the price during the launch and get Sharyn’s bonus guide to using sensory words (the kind that sell!) Launch Offer Ends April 14th.

My special bonus:  Buy through my link in this newsletter and you’ll receive my tips on creating copy for Amazon KDP books I learned from selling on the site. These apply to almost any product, not just books. (I made 59,302 sales to date there plus 21,986 borrows, and 15,630,992 pages read, so my words made a sale or two! 😊)

Send a copy of your receipt to [email protected] for verification and your report will wing its way to you by Saturday April 17th.
