Here’s a tip I learned from a lady called Michelle Murphy.
You know how Monday is a great day to start anything, whether it’s healthy eating, working on your product, or giving up your social media addiction.
And it’s the way we put things off (and pretty much never get beyond Monday!)
Instead break your waking hours down into 4-hour chunks.
Say you sleep for 8 hours, you’ll have four of those chunks every single day making up the other 16 hours.
So for example, you’ll have a 6am to 10 am chunk, a 10am to 2pm chunk, a 2pm to 6pm chunk, and a 6pm to 10pm chunk.
Just start your 4-chunks at your usual waking time (or the time you want to be your waking time.)
Then when you want to start (or stop) something, don’t wait until Monday just get it going in the very next appropriate chunk.
And if things go awry (as new things often do) start again in the very next chunk that day.
If you’re saying to yourself “Good idea, I’ll start this on Monday” don’t wait because you’ll forget about it!
Start whatever you want to change during the the next chunk you can – unless the next chunk is a Monday, of course, as I’m sending this out late on Sunday. Then it’s okay. 🤣💖
