Maybe it’s the writer in me, but I love to watch the world go by and all the people in it.
And let’s face it, we are a curious bunch with our likes and dislikes, fears and phobias, and the way we absolutely mean to do one thing and then do something else entirely.
If you pay attention to what people do, rather than what they say, you can learn an awful lot.
And observing that difference is super important in the online world.
Some marketers will tell you to do one thing while doing something entirely different themselves.
I made expensive mistakes in the beginning, following the wrong people.
And buying courses with promises that were too good to be true in my naivety.
Now, it’s generally the good people I watch online and learn from (and shake my head at the others!) whereas as an author, I must confess the baddies make the best stories!

If you want to learn email marketing
Instead of picking up an expensive course as I did (oops), you can get oodles of templates for a super cheap price.
Or even better, learn from my favorite email marketer for free.
Sign up for his list, get his free report but (more importantly) watch out for his emails as if they were gold (they are!). He sends one out most days, and they are a fantastic example of how to do email marketing well without stressing out about it or taking 3 hours to create an email like I do.
What can I say? I’m still learning, too! But watch out for a switch in email format soon and you’ll know I’m trying this out 😊
If you want to learn affiliate marketing
Don’t buy a super expensive affiliate marketing course if it will stretch your budget. Instead, follow Karon Thackston. She has great posts on her blog that you can read for free like this one with tons of copywriting help and this one with 6 of the best strategies from top affiliate marketers But also observe how she sends offers to her list.
