In writing, there’s a thing I do every single book I write (and I’ve written more than a hundred.)

It’s called the crappy first draft.

I just let the words spew out of my head and onto the page until I get the story down from beginning to end.

I don’t spend a week perfecting the first paragraph and then give up.

I just write.

This a great strategy to tackle any piece of creative work you do.

The best way to finish is to get something done and then make it better.

Every artist does a rough sketch. Every graphic designer. Every architect.

So if you’re creating a product of any kind, don’t be afraid to do the same.

It will get you over the fear of the blank page.

Of course, if you use PLR (private label rights) content, you can start with a first draft which is pretty good and still make it better by tweaking a few things.

It’s just another way of getting over the blank page, without having to even do the first draft yourself.

But if you want to start from scratch just let it all land on the page any way it arrives and then you have something to work with!
