Today I’m off to Ladies Day at the races to celebrate a friend’s big-zero birthday.
This means getting properly dressed up, wearing a hat and placing a few bets for fun despite having very little idea what I’m doing. 🤣
I’m also still writing and scheduling this newsletter before I go.
It would be easy to miss a day and I really don’t think there’s an obligation to work every single day.
One of the reasons many of us build a small business is to have more choice over how we spend our time.
But I’m choosing to write this and answer a few customer emails and let everything else go for the day because that feels good to me. I like writing and customers as well as days off. 😊
There will always be more we could do.
But a business should leave room for birthdays, friends, ridiculous hats and days when we do something purely because it will be fun.
So today I’ll write the newsletter, put on the hat, and enjoy the day. I hope you leave space for race days too. 💖
