Something I heard today on a podcast while I was doing my yoga stretches struck me as so true I wanted to share.
I know I’m not supposed to be multi-tasking yoga but then I don’t do it if I have to spend an hour “in the moment” so better that than not do it at all. 🤣
Anyway, the thing I heard went something like this…
None of us knows whether the results of our efforts will be successful.
We just don’t.
We have to do the work before we see the results.
So worrying about whether something is a waste of time is actually counterproductive.
It makes us avoid work.
Or it saps our energy so it’s harder to push through when we are working.
It demotivates us.
It means everything takes longer than it otherwise would.
If you think about it, worrying about wasting your time is the biggest waste of time of all.
Start looking at everything you do as a valuable experiment from which you will gain knowledge and experience of what works or what doesn’t.
Because that’s exactly what it is.
And quit wasting your time thinking what you’re doing might be a waste. 💖
